Karen L. Joubert, PT, DPT, Owner
Heading one of Southern California's most respected physical therapy practices, Karen Joubert knows the "I have to be back-in-the-game- ASAP" mentality of many of her clients. With more than 25 years' experience, first as an elite athlete and then as a physical therapist, Karen understands the fitness needs of her patients.
Her practice serves world-class athletes (Wimbledon, NFL, NBA, Olympics, etc.), famous entertainers and political leaders, as well as individuals who just want to be physically fit to play sports with their friends. Karen takes patients' specific sport/goals and optimizes the best rehab approach, which also reduces future injuries. "As with all my patients, longevity is what it is all about," she explains.
Karen is considered one of the most successful gymnasts in New York Section VII history. An All-Round Champion who represented Section VII in the NY State Championships four consecutive years, she was recently inducted into her high school Hall of Fame for her athletic achievements. In her off season, she took up figure skating and later toured professionally as a featured perfomer with the Ice Capades, a testament to her longevity as an elite athlete.
A graduate of Mount St. Mary's College, Los Angeles, with a degree in physical therapy, Karen continued her studies with noted PTs and was mentored throughout the world. This experience helped to mold her philosophy and techniques. She co-developed "My Therapy Exercise," the world's first PT app. In addition, Karen has published several books and appeared on numerous wellness-related TV shows.
